South Branch of the Potomac
TTThe tough is one of the most visited area on the South Branch of the Potomac river. It is locates close to the
Hampshire and Hardy county line along River/ Trough road. The the river flows for 6.5 miles through near vertical cliffs,
which react 1500', with only one way in and one way out. Fishing and wildlife viewing is great. Sever bald eagle nest are
located along the way with the sighting of eagles a sure thing. There is public  access at the south and north end which
allows for excellent boating. If you are in the area, make sure you experience "The Trough".
